Web-Based SolutionsPersonal Messaging

Our Personal Messaging options allow you access to create your own Personal Profile, Address Book and OutBox. These features are all protected by a password that you select so that no one can access your profile, messages, or addresses. You only have to log-in once to access all features, and you don't have to log-in again to re-visit each page unless you close your browser. Each feature is also persistant in that the information (such as addresses and sent messages) is saved from one visit to the next until you delete it.

All you have to do is create your own personal profile to start using these powerful paging tools. The first step will be to click on the "New Users" link and enter a user name and password. Then you can set up your Address Book and begin sending messages. The Address Book will hold up to 100 addresses and the OutBox will hold the last 15 messages that have been sent. As a bonus, you can bookmark your Address Book and OutBox directly to save yourself some time.

Another bonus of using Personal Messaging is the "Personal URL". You can give out a simple URL to your friends, and they are given an easy way to send a message to you. Notice that you do not have to give out your PIN. The PIN is maintained in our database, so they can not view the HTML source to find your PIN. For example, if your username was "johndoe", your Personal URL would be:

http://www.skytel.com/cgi-bin/db.pl/johndoe
